If you follow the blog, you might recognize Alison and her family from the <a href="http://kansasmariephotography.com/post/31935324669/fires-families-and-acting-like-a-fool">session</a> at Laguna. This time, Alison grabbed her sisters and mom and we hit my hometown to photograph some rolling hills. After a small snafu at our first location we quickly headed to my secret happy place in Murrieta. We grabbed some great shots and the last 20 minutes of the session we had clouds break and some gorgeous sun. Let’s just say, I died a little inside with how beautiful the light was.</p> <p>You guys were an amazing family. Thanks for leaving the OC for the afternoon and frolicking in the fields. You also spoke my love language by doing a Starbucks stop on the way out. I hope to work with you all in the future. After the initial culture shock and homesickness, Belize stole my heart. I left a piece of me there that summer and returned 2 additional summers. It’s been 5 years since I’ve last gotten a chance to visit my beloved country and see some amazing friends that stay in touch via Facebook.</p> <p><img src="http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_md5kpg58K81qzimip.jpg"/></p> <p><img src="http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_md5kpvROXN1qzimip.jpg"/></p> <p><strong><em>HOWEVER… </em></strong>I have been <strike>given</strike> <em>blessed</em>  with the opportunity to help with a team going Spring of 2013! As well as be part of that team! I am so happy and have been holding this little secret inside for a few months now! </p> <p>Here is where photography comes into play…the team of Jr. Highers need to raise approximately $1500 per team member to go on the trip. We have planned a variety of fundraisers and this one involves you, your group of besties, your sweetie, your dog, your family, newborn, pretty much anyone you can fit in the frame to come out and book a 1 hour session with either myself or the lovely Mrs. Sarah Henson. Split the cost between friends and family!</p> <p>We’re hosting a photography marathon and want you to strike a few poses and score yourself a disc with some of the best images. For $100 you get an hour of our time devoted to you and your entourage and a disc of images to follow up within a few weeks. </p> <p>Check out the flyer with details on how to book and remember…its for a good cause! Ever since I met Brianna I could tell she was loved and adored by everyone who knows her. Her personality is bubbly, intelligent and makes you want to gossip with her all day about how gorgeous McDreamy is and how Don Draper and Betty are meant to be. I felt like I was sitting at the cool kids table when she asked me to photograph her senior session at the Happiest Place on Earth before her pass expires. </p> <p>I spent that whole week eyeing the weather, doing my &#8220;go away rain&#8221; dance and praying for a decent day. The rain went away just in time and the weather was chilly but gorgeous. Her best friend Leah came along and it was nice having someone interacting with Brianna and bringing out her true colors. Like, <em>I almost pull over to throw up on the side of the freeway</em> kind of butterflies. Especially when I&#8217;ve never met the client in person. So, imagine those butterflies reaction when Andrew called me to let me know there was a fire&#8230;on the hill&#8230;directly above where the session was. I think those butterflies did a few back flips. Seriously.</p> <p>Luckily, the news was itself making the fire a million times worse than the reality and it was out and smoke free by the time I pulled up to Laguna Beach.</p> <p>Alison found me via <a href="https://www.facebook.com/kansasmariephotography">Facebook</a> and I&#8217;m so jazzed we got together to photograph her husband, Josh&#8217;s, entire family. </p> <p>The entire family was amazing to work with and they even laughed at my attempts to be funny that I&#8217;m pretty sure just came out as me acting like a fool. Especially after I admitted Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds totally got married without my permission. The kids were great and troopers as they had me and their parents yelling &#8220;say cheese!&#8221;, &#8220;look at Kansas&#8221; and so much more. </p> <p>Paul, Jeanne, Josh, Alison, Kaylee, Alexa, John, Robyn, Trenton, Jen, Guy, Violet, Chris and Lisa&#8230;you guys were fab in front of my camera and I am so honored to have met you.
